Hi there forum,
First of all, I wish you all a happy new year and the best of health !
Now, an update on my colonoscopy of yesterday. you people who told me that it is not
so bad, you are right! (but, i have to be honest, i have been stoned down big time with the
drug by my Doctor. the only things I remember are when I entered the room with my IV in the arm,
the doctor saying : hello Serge, how are ya today? with a big grin on his face! I then replied that
I was a pack-o-nerves and kinda anxious while the nusre, i assume, was putting my IV cord to
the drug bag or whatever you call it. while that, i was so nervous that I asked the doctor a stupid
question as a joke like:, say, Doctor, the way I see it with the tv screen and the gizmo cord with a
light, it seems to me that you are going to play ASS NINTENDO, right?, the good doctor and the
nurse laughed out loud as I did, and then, bye bye birdie, good luck and good nite.
I have absolutely no recollection of what has been done, absolutely not niet, que dale, nada.
complete amnésia! I only remember waking up in a bed with a super pretty nurse giving me a
cookie and a small cup of apple juice. man, she was pretty, all right!
And then, my wife was waiting not far away and, i think i remember seen her close to
the bed and talking to me, but, you see, i was so drugged-out that I am not sure If i had
dreamed that. also, i kinda remember the doctor coming too explaining that my result
was positive, but, its so strange.... I am still not sure,,,
After a while, i remember my wife helping me walk to change in my clothes and taking
my bag to the car. then, home and more ZZZZZ.....
But, hey, fantastic news, i have no polyps, no tumor, no nuthin!! a healthy colon!
)
I am super-happy about
that like you have no idea!!! so, I assume that my occasional
bleedings are due to hemorroids!!
But, strangely, since yesterday, i have a hiccup problem. I am one who very very rarely
have hiccup, almost never. now, since my test, not long after leaving the hospital, I have bouts
of hiccups, it comes and goes. only cup of hot water seems to help for a while, but, it comes
back again.
Does somebody else on the forum here had this strange occuring after a colonoscopy?
Could it be related to the anesthesia or the drug used? assuming that the word is anesthesia
or sedation, i am not sure of the difference! its very strange to me as I am not used to it and
I am pretty annoyed about
it! I'd like to find a way to stop that...
Anyways, in my case, for 2010, it is REALLY a happy new rear!
Thanks a lot for my long comment AND thanks a lot for your supports and advices,
I now see that you were right and that i worked me up for nothing!!
Frenster (who is very relieved)...
