Only 20 yrs old and I got a hemorrhoid

Ok so i've had this small external hemorrhoid for a about 2 months or so, I didn't think much of it I just thought it would go away but just last night when I was on the toilet, while I was whipping it started to bleed and I felt a little stingy pain and it was bright red blood on the toilet paper. Now this scared me quite a bit because i'm only 20 yr's old, i'm overweight and I sit down most of the day due to my job as a computer technician. I'm a little startled by this, what should I do?

Hemorrhoids aren't uncommon for people with IBS-C, even at 20 due to straining and constant constipation. You may even have the occasional fissure. If you're asking my opinion, I wouldn't worry about it much unless you start losing weight for no reason, develop unexplained fevers, if the bleeding is intense, or if you have tar-like or maroon colored stools. See a GI if you're really concerned. Best of luck.
