Hi! I am from the Ostomy forum. I had my ostomy reversed in March/09. I have been suffering with really serious constipation issues the last month or so. I take 2 tbsp of ground flax seed in the morning on my cereal, and they 2 more tbsp again before bed. This has helped me tremendously, although for some reason the past month or so it hasn't been working as well as it had been. I started on probiotics today and i'm hoping this will help. Do any of you have any experiences or knowledge you can share with me on this? I did some reading up on the subject of probiotics before I started taking them, but personal experience is always the best...Can you advise me re this?? Thanks so much.....Cheryl

Since noone replied, I have been taking probioics (10 billion) once daily for almost a week now , and I'm really happy to report that it has helped tremendously! I have severe constipation issues with my IBS but I have had no problems since I started taking them. YIPPEE!!! Just thought I would pass this along.

I eat Probiotic Yogurt and it does help me, but I am not a big yogurt lover so it is hard to eat one everyday, even though I know I would feel better if I did. I buy the kind with fiber in it. I'm glad it is working for you.

I know what u r saying about
the yogurt, but taking the probiotics in pill form saves you from all that, and it's calorie free!!
