I have IBS, or so I believe and cramping in the lower left abdomen. I'm visiting a GI doctor this Thursday, the appointment was for the 25th but I rescheduled because I cannot take the pain any more.

I was just wonder if Gastro doctors are aware of pelvic floor problems and testing, because I am experiencing those symptoms as well. Should I bring this up to the GI?!

Yes they are and you should bring it up?

What type of IBS do you think you have D or C or both?

Do you know what the pelvic floor problems are cause by, because ever since this cramp started and won't stop, my prostate has enlarged (got it checked, non bacterial) and my legs, hips, pelvic area has been in pain. Are the muscles irritated and tightening. I'm hoping there is a way to break this cycle.

There are a variety of pelvic floor disorders. They can be muscular issues for sure.

Also a lot of IBSers have rectal hypersensitivity, regardless if they have a pelvic floor disorder.

Depending on the disorder, biofeedback is one treatment that has shown to be effective.
