Question for those on Welchol.

I have had daily D since my gall bladder was removed. I didn't try Welchol until about a year after the D began. Many people swear by Welchol as being the gold standard of stopping D, feeling like a new person with it, taking upwards of 6 pills a day even. I tried one Welchol (625 mg pill) for about a month and honestly I just had lots of gas, some abdominal pain, and felt weak. The fact that it can lessen some of your body's ability to absorb fat soluable vitamins did concern me but I thought the D certainly was causing an absorption issue as well. Kind of darned if you do, darned if you don't. I thought at the time my digestive symptoms were just getting worse and never thought these were side effects. I went off my Welchol for some testing and then realized that these were side effects for me (not everyone). I never tried bumping up the dosage since only one pill caused me some ill side effects. Nonetheless I recommend giving it a try, you may have a very different experience.
