Probiotic stopped working after 2 antibiotics...what should I do?

I began taking Sustenex everyday in 2007 for severe digestive issues.  Since then, I've been 99% better and extremely happy.

Last October, my doctor perscribed 2 antibiotics and sure enough, I am miserable again.  I've doubled up on Sustenex but it's not helping.  What should I do? 

IBS symptoms - diarrhea, urgency, bloating, pain, and gassy noises....I dealt with these things almost every day of my life for years and was beginning to withdraw from activities/socializing in my life.

After beginning Sustenex in 2007 I IMMEDIATELY stopped having any issues and felt my 'gut' was tougher than anybodys. I've been so greatful - touting the benefits of probiotics to everybody! lol For 3 and 1/2 years I've been next to perfect!

Since the reoccurance this winter (after the antibiotics) I've upped my dossage to 2 then three sustenex. It hasn't worked. Yesterday I began 4 (two in the morning and two in the evening) and so far it seems to be working.

Is this ok? Has anybody else had success with upping their dosage? Is this temporary or will I always have to take 4 a day? I know everybody is different but I was wondering what you all experienced.

Antibiotics will kill practically everything in your intestines, including probiotics like Sustenex. So it won't help to double up, or even triple up on Sustenex. I would just wait till you're done taking the antibiotics and then see what happens.
