Hi
I am going through tension h/a relief and am now having gastro issues.
Had CT scan in Aug that showed infection, diverticulitis.
Another CT scan since the discomfort was not really gone...this time diagnosed as infected lymph node.
Got more antibiotics and pain med for that.
A month goes by, the pain is still there.
Another CT scan and the dx was mild diverticulitis.
I finally got an appointment with my gastro doc and he ordered another CT scan!!!!
I am probably going to glow in the dark soon.
The results of that last CT was negative for anything.
He told me since my colon has many diverticuli, the exact location of a definite problem area can't be pinned down so I am always going to be subject to infection and discomfort.
Told me I have a spastic colon and gave me Bentyl to take as needed.
The pain is still happening, not the pain that makes you curl up in fetal position...but it sometimes is in the lower left side of the abdomen and sometimes it is closer to the groin which is lower yet.
I manage to have movements that are not quite firm and sometimes just D.
I guess my question is, why wouldn't he just diagnose it as IBS?
Another ailment to ponder along with the h/a and pins and needle pressure in my head.
At least the Amitriptyline is helping with that.
Sorry to go on and on.
Hope everyone is ok and having as a nice of an evening as they can.
It's 6 pm here in sunny Jacksonville, FL
