GB issues and slow doctor

I'm not exactly sure where I should be posting.. all I know is I'm tired of dealing with the digestive issues and also very tired of waiting for the results from my HIDA scan.  It's been over a week, surely they have something they can at least tell me.. yes it's the Gallbladder, no it's something else so we need to move on. 

Has anyone else had problems with not getting answers to this test?

What could be the hold up?? grrrr, my patience is wearing thin, I just want to move forward.

 

I don't have stones because the ultrasound was clear and the tracer went through fine. I didn't have pain with the HIDA scan but I was really nauseated when they administered the CCK. I was ready to yell out for a bedpan then it subsided when the CCK was finished. I could see that it went through okay too but I have no clue how my gb reacted to it other than making me feel sick.

Since they have taken a lot of time, I, of course have been able to research more about it and see if there is anything else I should ask them about when they call back.. whenever that may be.

I finally got the results today. It is not functioning properly. 19% output. I go see the general surgeon on Friday for consultation. Hopefully this will put an end to most of my misery.

I hope it does the trick, my biggest fear was it coming back normal and starting over on figuring this out.  I'm tired of the nausea and pain that goes along with this. 

I have been reading how in some people, the gb disease can also be caused by celiac.  I will have to discuss all of this with my dr, I'd hate to have surgery and there still be something else going on.  But I also have researched and found that the function doesn't come back so I don't see a point in keeping something that is causing me so much grief if I don't need it to live.

Yes, my mom and 1 sister both had theirs removed because of gallstones.  I have surgery on Monday, I am ready to get this over and move on.
