Unsure what is wrong with me

Hi there everyone,

After doing some searches I found this forum and was reading similar articles to who I experience on a day to day basis.. And felt the need to register to ask for others opinions..

Within the last year or so, I have been having more bowel movements, especially directly after eating.. Sometimes it can be instant, and then sometimes it can be 15 mins - an hour.. It just depends

I am lactose intolerant, and I also had my gall bladder removed as well, since I can rarely eat fatty foods without feeling the urgency as well now

Sometimes my lactose I feel acts different on a day to day basis.. Sometimes I can have some cheese and not get a pain at all and then sometimes I can have instant diarrhea

I just start a full time job tomorrow and I don't want to let this bother with my work.. I have a great supervisor that will understand but I really want to give this job 110%.. In the past, I just gave up eating at all and would only eat at night time, which gave me the whole night and next morning to recover!

So I'm here to ask the opinion of others..

Is it normal after a gall bladder surgery to not able to handle any fatty foods at all?
Is there any sort of remedy to stop me going to the toilet so regularly?
Is there any tests that can be done? (I live in a small town with a doctor that rarely diagnoses people with what is actually wrong with them)

I'm sorry you are suffering! After my gallbladder removal I could not eat anything fatty for about a year. I have similar bowel habits if I eat certain foods-I am trying a gluten restricted diet, take probiotics daily and also a fiber supplement- which helps so much! I have a script for dicyclomine which is an antispasmodic for the pain and cramping.
IBS is not a no- big- deal medical problem! Remind your Dr that he works for you and needs to get to the bottom of this!
