I didn't really know where to put this.
Just a little background I guess. I'm 16 and I have mucosal eosinophilia. It gives me severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, and constipation. They've been treating me with Singulair, which is apparently the only medicine that treats it. They aren't sure whether I have an underlying case of IBS, so I'm also on elavil, bentyl, prilosec (GERD), hydroxizine and zofran for the nausea.
Recently I've noticed little red specks on the TP that look like dried blood, and I've just brushed it off as undigested food, but I've noticed it quite a few times, and I think back to the past day and I don't remember eating red food. And I don't just want to bother my GI because of food or side effects from medicine, so I was wondering if you guys think I should ask my doctor about
it or not worry about
it?

You should tell your DR, and your DR should do occult blood tests of the stool, and probably calprotectin.

Perhaps you have a hemorrhoid that is bleeding. Are you constipated? Having to strain with a BM can cause hemorrhoids and then bleeding from the hemorhoid.

I take Miralax for my constipation, so I wouldn't say my BM are strained. And it's not like a lot of blood, it's little specks, which is why I'm thinking maybe it could be food?

If its bright red, not likely. You need to see your doctor. It is probably just hemorrhoids. Sometimes you dont even have to strain to get it to bleed.

hi theothetwin123.what an unusal profile name.are you a twin by any chance?i am.i agree with everyone that you need to have a little chat with your doctor.i find if my stools are solid which most times there not due to bad ibs and constipation from daily pain killers.that there is blood from trying to pass them.not sure if this is sort of what you are experiencing.the blood will show up on the toilet paper.hope you get this sorted out soon.take care.
