Hello.
I have been an ibs sufferer displaying many of the more usual symptoms, for around 6 years.
Using various ppi,anti-spasmonal and fybogel treatments.
My symptoms started within months of having my appendix removed.
At the time i was being treated for osteoarthritis, with --non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and neurofen.
My latest symptom is pain under the right sided rib, sometimes near the sternum.
Is it possible that it is not ibs at all but a form of gastritis.
I have had blood tests on my liver, gallbladder and pancreas.
Many x-rays,ct scans and urine tests.
I believe the main cause of my ibs is the pain killers for my arthritis causing an overproduction of acid which overwhelmed the medicationi i was using for my so-called ibs.
Is it possibly i am right ?.
If so can my symptoms which now closely follow gastritis as opposed to ibs, self heal and how long would it take ???
Any advice appreciated thanks.
