I am having a similar experience
On about
January 5, 2015, I came home after
eating French fries to the most painful night of my life
hands down ! A couple of days later, my wife had to take
me to a nearby ER. After CT, it was diagnosed
as 'dead' gall bladder- it had to come out.
Upon waking up from anesthesia, I discovered
that my stomach was sporting a JP tube.
It would be my nasty companion for the next
four weeks.
My doctor released me after four days in the
hospital. A couple of days after in went home,
I began experiencing the same excruciating
pain that I had the first night (i.e. Acute Pancreatitis)
The general surgeon re -admitted me for
bile stent inserting procedure. Again, very
painful after ERGC? (Acute pancreatitis ).
I stayed in hospital this time for five days.
After being released, the insurance hassle that is the new
Obama Care only served to add to my constant
low-grade fever, chills and abdominal pain.
I finally got a referral to have my stent removed
thinking that it's removal might solve all of my
pain issues. It did not! Six weeks post op,
I am still having pain in pancreas after removal
of stent... Just feel like sleeping all the time now
and dread calling doctor's office for more pain
pills. I don't know whether this is worse or the
raging constipation. With the pain I'm eating pain pills
like Tic-Tacs and the doctor's office is treating me like the
crack head on the corner looking for his
next fix.. Beyond ready for this ordeal to be
over, so I can get back to work (if I still have a job).
Whew!!
