Hi everyone,

I've stumbled across this forum as I've recently been diagnosed with IBS and I've been browsing this forum for the last few days.

Since October last year, I've been sick on an almost daily basis. I was diagnosed with h pylori back in February and the medication (although fairly hellish!) seemed to help for a while but the vomiting returned after a couple of weeks. As a result of this, I've lost about 14 lbs and I can no longer put weight on, I'm just constantly losing more weight no matter what I eat.

Over the last month or so I've been incredibly bloated at times and it's actually been so bad at times that my stomach has ballooned so much that I look pregnant! I also have the other signs of IBS but the continued vomiting is starting to concern me.

I'm on medication at the moment but I was just wondering if vomiting is related to IBS? Most of the information I've read online seems to say you can experience nausea but actually vomiting doesn't seem to be a symptom if that makes sense at all?

I have been suffering from " IBS " for probably 15 years now. I have never had an issue with vomitting, even though on  bad days I feel like I could easily do so. I also suffer from the bloating from time to time. It has gotten to the point where I where the next size up pants and cant buttong the top button due to the discomfort it causes.

 You mention that you are taking medication? You may want to ask your doctor about side effects. That mixed with your IBS symptoms could be causing the upset tummy and vomitting.

 Wish I could be of more help, but just thought I would share that does not sound normal, or at least not with what I have experienced.

I have Ibs-c and have suffered with nausea everyday for the last almost 2 years . I understand what you're going through to that point but I have not had any vomiting as of yet . I am 15 pounds hello my normal weight , it fluctuates a few pounds up and down from there . I am small frame my normal weight is 135 to 140 . right now I am a male and 122lbs. it shows and I look sick , I am embarrassed to leave the house . I have all the test done and everything came back negative , except for spastic: and irritable bowel syndrome . hey tell me the stress makes my nausea worse ,and it does . I'm at home from work today because of the nausea . I love my job and have been there for years and can't stand missing any time . I run the company so when I'm not there , we don't make money . sorry for being so long winded , didn't mean to be . I hope you find some relief from your nausea. my doctor prescribed ondansetron and I also use mint tea an d ginger crystal which seems to help .

Hello guys...I'm new to this but mother is in dire need of someone else that may be going what she's going thru. She has IBS, Hyeatle hyernia, vomiting almost daily depending on what she's eaten, pain in her back, hip and stomach constantly, and either horrific dirreaha or a painful burning in her stomach in the mornings. But the dirreaha does not burn when she's having that...which is almost daily. She's 67 and for the most part very healthy and very active. She's suffered with the GIRD or hyeatal hyernia since I can remember but now that she's getting up in years thepain she feeling everyday and the dirreaha on top of the vomiting is concerning me enough to seek help from someone who might be going thru the same and not the doctor today.

Kaly- Has she been having the back and hip pains the whole time as well? That concerns me. I have been playing Google doctor alot for my own issues and have noticed that alot of the time if there is back pain involved that could mean something else that could be serious. I have bad back and neck pains as well, but mine is from an injury I suffered years ago. The burning in her stomach could be related to the GERD. I know if I allow myself to go without eating to long I get a nasty burn feeling in my gut as well. Even with as many issues I have with my over all health I am not a big fan of going to doctors and understand reaching out in forums such as this for help, but I would suggest a doctor trip. Chances are they will not find anything wrong, but will be a good way to set your mind at ease as to what is going on.
