Eating - anything - kicks my gut into gear. Consequently, I allow 2-3 hours before reporting to work for all my trips to the bathroom to cease. And I eat a light breakfast within 15 minutes of rising.
I also do not eat while at work (however I work 10-2, I'm grateful that I don't need to work FT), so usually I don't have solids from 7 am until oh 2:30. Even then, I usually only eat a hard boiled egg, a banana or string cheese. Making sure my dinner is a larger meal (roast chicken, grilled salmon, rice, steamed veggies, salad, etc.).
Gone are the days of eating anytime, anywhere, because I know my gut will become active and I'll be making half a dozen trips to the bathroom, spaced out over an hour or two. That's when people say - can't you just stay in there and finish? I HATE that comment the most. Sure, that's my problem - I just got up too soon from the toilet. Sigh..........
