Maybe...but not for sure.
IBS-C is for the constipated side of IBS. This may be what you have.
The reason I may not think it is IBS is that it is a new occurrence and not over a long period of time.
My suggestions for you:
- drink lots of water
- avoid artificial sugars
- avoid excess sugar and fat (although you may find a bit of fat will soften your stool)
- exercise and stretch....get your body moving, even walking is good
- get good sleep
- oatmeal does a lot of good for me....may be a way to help you as well
- keep a food journal and see if you can match symptoms with a specific food
- if you are in a state that allows for medical marijuana, I know for me it has very much helped me taken in oral form in a tincture. I believe it calms the inflammation in the gut.
- eat probiotic foods like Kefir, yogurt, Kimchee, and similar foods...these may help to fight yeast in your gut....if your issue is an overgrowth of yeast. You can also get probiotic pills which may be easier to build into a daily life.
- destress - find a way to reduce or remove as much stress from your life as possible and also work to control your mental state so that you don't get "wound up." Meditation, hiking outdoors, or whatever speaks to you as a good way to destress is a good start.
Hopefully, this is just a passing thing for you and soon it will be in your past.
Best wishes.
