CT scan info?

Hello-

I was wondering if anyone knows exactly what an "abdominal & pelvic" ct scan shows images of? I know obviously the basic organs...but if it's pelvic as we'll does that include ovaries, etc? Does the scan show anything in your abdomen like intestines?

If anybody knows that'd be great.

I had an abdominal CT. I drank contrast. The contrast travels through your intestines, so this kind of imaging shows intestines. It shows bones as well, and maybe soft tissue like cartilage. I don't know about reproductive organs.

I had a CT scan with contrast too. It pretty much shows everything in the abdominal cavity including the uterus and ovaries (bladder, intestines, liver, gall bladder, spleen etc as well).

Thanks. I would think the pancreas as well?

I imagine so.

When I had my CT scan it was for my bladder, but the report also stated the normal or abnormal appearance of other organs as well but I don't recall seeing the pancreas stated on the report. But it could've been on there....this was a long time ago and my memory is sketchy sometimes.
