Hi, this is my first post. I think I may have IBS but I'm not sure. I will go to my GP but just need to run my symptoms past you to check.
I had 3 operation's in 2 years, close together and all down below. The second one was a gall bladder removal, the other 2 were vaginal wall repairs. Since having the ops I have noticed I have trouble pooping. I need to go every time I wee but only hard lumps come out. I thought this was because of the operations, maybe my tubes had been diverted in some way. I also have to remove small lumps manually as they don't come out and I feel like I still have something left. That is how I am most of the time. Then I get times when I have what I call, "my version of diarrhoea" which is mild cramping and paste consistency poop, like peanut butter being squeezed from a tube. This was only very infrequently.
That was before 3 days ago. I got up, had a cup of tea and then got excruciating lower abdominal pain. I was then sat on the toilet for 20 minutes with wave after wave of pain and poop. I was sweating profusely and felt nauseous but didn't vomit. The rest of the day I felt cold and tired with mild nausea and acid reflux. The next day I was still a bit queasy but felt much better. Then today, I was eating my breakfast and before I had even got to the bottom of the bowl I got the cramping in my stomach and had to got rushing to the toilet. I had some poop that was like before but then it was watery. I have spent the rest of today just feeling off colour and queasy. I also get a lot of gas and gurgling in my stomach.
Is this IBS?
