Honestly my stools are always yellow and I've mentioned this to my doctor (of course after getting basically every test under the sun) and he said stool color doesn't matter, as long as it's not red or black. Light color stools are most likely either fast transit (bacteria don't have enough time to eat the bile...bile is yellow and the bacteria that eat the bile give it the brown color) OR you don't have enough good bacteria. I'm starting to eat more probiotics...and hopefully that'll help. I read somewhere of someone relating their story about how they had yellow stools and after incorporating lots of probiotics (with pills, yogurt, and kefir)...and after a few months their stool returned to the normal brown color! That definitely gives me faith to try that approach. I'm eating yogurt twice a day and taking vsl3...and I'm planning on making my own water kefir. (: don't worry so much.
