How many of you have had your appendix out?

Just wondering. Have you had your appendix out, or any other kind of abdominal surgery?

oh yes and C-section,tubal ligation,hysterectomy,bi-lateral salapingo-oopherectomy,4 laproscopic adhesiolys with a laparotomy - small bowel
resection thrown in the middle

I had my appendix out way back in '74 when I was 8 months pregnant. Had a total hysterectomy, gallbladder out and... the big one... had 6 inches of small bowel out in 2008 due to an obstruction. I believe that was the one that kicked off my IBS and now Gastritis.

I have never been the same since that operation.

nothing here, never pregnant and still have appendix ... can't explain my stuff that way

I had a laproscopy in 2012 and another a few weeks ago, they removed my appendix

Well, I'm 9 months post laparoscopic appendectomy and my bowels are still much worse than before and I have pain where my appendix used to be. So......I'm off to see the surgeon tomorrow. Maybe he can enlighten me about why this is happening. I've read a lot online about people who developed IBS after having their appendix out........which is really unfortunate.
I do have a lot of pelvic prolapse going on, so I suppose that could mess things up too.
Geez..........there's always somethin'. :(
