Everything I have read about FODMAP recommends you find a dietician to help you with it. After trying it for a couple of weeks, and probably not being 100% compliant, I agree. I've noticed a bit of an improvement, so am trying to keep working at it.
ppim38, for calcium you should have plenty of options. Most non-dairy milk is fortified with calcium, and if you can eat it there's usually a fair bit of calcium in leafy green veg like spinach. You can eat some cheese on FODMAP if you can tolerate it as well.
I think any new diet, especially one that is restrictive, takes a while to get used to. I have some mental blocks with this since it's such big changes in what I eat.
