Hi, I'm new here!! Yesterday I was in a lot of pain around my anus (already has 2 small external hems). Today when I used the restroom and third one came out and it's much bigger! I have a cluster of them and I'm scared... I also suffer from acute anxiety disorder and I'm scaring myself into thinking it's prolapse even though it's just three separate hemorrhoids.

I guess my question is is prolapse obvious? Has anyone ever had three hemorrhoids?

I don't know about prolapse being obvious but I had a friend who had it and she not have a lot of control over her bowel movements.

For your hemmies, try taking some sitz baths a few times a day if possible and get some otc suppositories for hemmies. Your doctor could also prescribe a prescription steriod suppository which works really well and a cream called lidocaine which will numb things out down there. I would try OTC stuff first though.

Yes, you can have 3 or more hemmorhoids.

I would advise you to get a diagnosis from a specialist. I think it needs to be determined if you have a Prolapsed Internal Hemmorhoid, which would be very painful, but could conceivably be confused with a thrombosed external hemmoroid. A Colon and Rectal Specialist is who I see, and who can recommend treatment. Mine advised not to ever get constipated by making sure to drink enough water and getting enough fiber and not straining and so far, I have not needed surgery for either.
