Usually constant bleeding is pretty typical of an IBD, tho there are some rare instances it doesn't present. When you have a scope done, this should determine what you are dealing with. They will do biopsies and these biopsies can usually tell if you with have IBS, Ulcerative colitis or Crohns as each biopsy reveals a different clue.
