I'm a 17 year old female with a completely clean record of health, physically. Mentally, I suffer from social anxiety, general anxiety and hypochondria. Since the beginning of December, I've been suffering from an uncomfortable stomach, and now it's reached the point where it's just constant and almost unbearable. It almost feels like my stomach is swollen and tender. I always have the feeling of either bloating, gas, ache, or general discomfort. I've also noticed that I need to urinate a little more frequently, and I'm not constipated, however it does feel like it, and I often need to release gas which feels like it'll make my stomach better. My appetite is fine along with my general health. But the pain is from the second I wake up to the second I go to sleep. It doesn't hurt to touch but it's just there. My mother and father both have IBS and stomach issues, if this is a factor, and I was especially stressed this month due to several public performances. I visited the doc before Christmas who gave me some beta blockers for anxiety and said it was likely this was just from anxiety, however, it still hasn't budged so I went back today. I had a urine sample again, which was completely fine, and both doctors felt my stomach and gave me the all clear. I was prescribed with Mebeverine tablets and I have taken two today but not much results, maybe a little. I've also resorted to taken painkillers which give me temporary relief, but the pain is still lurking. I'm really worried this is something much more sinister as its been a while and my back also aches. Please send me any advice or anything that can help clear my head because I am close to checking myself into hospital to get my stomach examined! Thank you!!!
