Hemorrhoid Help...other ideas?????

Does anyone have any other helpful ideas to help heal enlarged anal veins...a.k.a.hemorrhoids? Since my colon resection having many bowel movements in the am, and straining to get little fragments to pass has, has left me with hemorrhoids.
I do take Citrucell everyday, drink lots of water, I eat a few prunes, lots of fiber foods, exercise, use witch hazel, warm baths, etc etc.
Any other helpful suggestions, would be greatly appreciated!!

Please don't strain on the toilet!!! This will only aggravate the swelling....Are you constipated? Are you passing small balls? If so, you need to clear this with your doctor- to see if it is okay to increase fiber to 25 grams/ water to 8 glasses. My DH had a colon resection due to diverticulitis also- his doctor advised low fat/high fiber lots of exercize. For the hemmorhoids, an OTC called Nupricanal helped me the most. But the main thing, you have to stop that straining or your hemmorhoids will remain aggravated!!

There is a simple solution for hemorrhoids. Take a cotton swap dip it in Organic Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar ( Braggs) and gently apply it on the swelling and ideally leave it on ( with the cotton) it for the night ( overnight). If you can, do it in the day as well and leave it there.

By Day 2 it will shrink to half and by Day 3 or 4 it will be completely gone.

Thanks for the great tips. I think anxiety does not help. Try to go potty when or where you can relax. Do not strain. I understand I have done the same. If I try to go potty when I am uptight I cannot go. I have used a product called Tronolane Hemorrhoid Cream 1 Oz in a 3 pack. I use it often it helps better then all the others for me.
