Trapped Gas in rectum (longer than 10 weeks now)

I have had extreme difficult passing gas the past two months. It seems that I have to wiggle gas out of my rectum to even let any gas out of the my bottom end. I can barely sit down because of the intense pressure.

I had a colonoscopy to ensure that I was not impacted or had any type of common bowel disease.

I'm still having daily bowel movements...

After the colonoscopy, I have even more gas buildup.

I think my rectal muscles are not working properly as the buildup feels like it's 8 inches into my rectum.

Changing diet has almost no affect on getting any relief.

I find that walking up and down steps helps release pent up gas. Also massaging the tract your large intestine follows, on abdomen - start on the lower right side of your stomach, press down gently but firmly and work your way up to your navel, go over horizontally and then back down to exit. A nurse helped me with this trick in the hospital. Also sipping hot beverages get things moving and seems to help me getting rid of gas.

For now try, the gravity effect by going up and down steps and the message technique.

You should see you doctor again as there are tests that they can do to see if your rectum is functioning properly.
They can do a rectal ultrasound and a test to see how the muscles are working in that area.
Do you often have the feeling of not completing a bowel movement?

I have exactly the same symptoms. Im wondering if you figured out whats wrong and maybe have a solution?
I doubt you will get this message since this thread is like 7 years old but hey i gotta try.

I am new and have same gas problem in rectum. Any advice or results. I have not officially been diagnosed with ibs-c. It has been a tough road. 2 yrs ago, 3 lumpectomy on r breast. RAdiation 4 molars extracted, and treated with antibiotics for 3 months for sinus infection, . Had tmj. Hence intestinals issues. Colonoscopy 12/18 & chronic constipation gas, bloating since. I have dr appt 2 weeks. Had ct , ultrasound mri. Nothing, any help would be appreciated. Thanks
