Posting in this topic because it’s closest to anything I can see that matches any symptoms I have, although I’ve never been diagnosed with IBS or Chron’s (or anything for that matter, nor I am I ever except for very rarely in any physical pain. What I do know is that every time I eat I feel like I’m putting poison in my body. My body seems to clog up, it greatly affects my physical appearance, my eyes water, I sneeze a lot as if my body is telling me to stop eating, even though I haven’t eaten much (my friends call it my “thermostat”). And it doesn’t matter what I eat; “healthy” foods like salads and beans are often the worst. My way of dealing with this is to eat gingerly, to graze and never eat in large amounts. But this is a crapshoot and largely ineffective in the long run, and no way to live anyway without a diagnosis. As I said, only rare physical pain, but a huge obstacle as it greatly controls my physical and emotional stability. At its worst, with my eyes watering and my facial appearance looking like I’m a drug addict (which I am not, but I have been pulled over for “eating” - true stories).
The closest thing I can to what i might have is Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction; I can certainly identify with some of these symptoms. I mentioned that to a gastroenterologist that I saw recently (for a regular colonoscopy); he smirked and said I spend too much time on the internet, and told me to take laxatives. This is the same reaction I’ve gotten several times over the years. Laxatives have done NOTHING for me.
I have other symptoms and observations too but I’m trying to keep this short and readable. Has anyone out there experienced any similar?? Thanks in advance.
