hey kelly,
KavaKava is a 'natural' supplement that calms some down. (it worked for me a couple of years ago when i was battling a homeless situation...) also zoloft did help me out. i was ticked when my doctor perscribed it to me, cause all the diarrhea was the problem, not my brain. BUT the two go together!!! and i found out that many cancer patients are given zoloft before they start their chemo, simply to help them in such a difficult time. so don't be shy about asking for info on an anti-depressant it could really help.
i too, take immodium on mornings when i am stressed, it helps me.
practicing yoga has helped me, it took a while to feel the effects, but it is worth it.
also why not journal? i know that a lot of what bothers me are the stupid things i tell myself, that really aren't true. (i am not smart, i am not good at my job...) after writing all my negative thoughts i then write the realistic thoughts next to them, and on paper i can then see how silly i am, and i am worrying about something that might not even happen!
talk to someone--anyone really, don't hold all your stresses inside! you are not alone. EVERYONE feels the way you do at some point.
take care of yourself,
