Hi,

   I have posted many times since I started my painful condition last August of 2005. All This time thinking I had IBS,then Celiac,but for sure the Colonoscopy found mild Diverticulosis with no polyps.and the Upper/lower GI found Mild Gerd.

  After scraping enough $$ or a Abdominal/Pelvic CT Scan, The doctor called me today to tell me that all this time may have been a Partial Bowel obstruction.  They want to run a few more tests, Sitz makers and maybe an ultrasound before any laproscopic procedure.

   Not knowing for almost a year and living with this chronic abdominal pelvic pain, after I eat anything at all..I feel this lump in the right side pelvic area,painful to touch,and if i rub it for a second or so,then I hear this gurgling sound of something passing through..gas,fluids?? 

   A benign mass or Lymphoma was also mentioned, as well as a possible Paralytic illeus,or Crohns,but the Colonoscopy did not show any signs of that. . Necrotic tissue may have to be removed.  I will keep you posted.  Still do not know for certain, But IBS, and Celiac was ruled out. Take care!

Oh my unhappy, how scary for you. I hope you get some answers soon. When do you go for your more tests? I hope that any treatment that they can do will help you tremendously. I will keep you in my thoughts that its nothing serious.

did they take any biopsies when they did your colonoscopy?

My friend that just visited was diagnosed with Crohn's years ago. She recently had to be hospitalized for 30 days because of pain and they could not find evidence of Crohn's but finally decided that was the only thing it could be. They put her on Remicade and it has been a god send for pain. She has not arthritis which is what it is usually for so tests are not always conclusive. I have heard of the marker and it sounds like the way to go. I hope you get some relief soon. Please let us know. Someone recently mentioned a "marker" on this forum.

I believe you're refering to the Sitz Marker Test.  I had never heard of it until someone mentioned it on this site.

Unusual to rule out IBS as that is usually what they say you have when they rule out everything else and since there is not definitive test for it I wonder how they ever rule it out. However, in this case they did find a reason but it is sort of backwards as the way we usually get diagnosed. Can't find anything else, oh, you have IBS. At least that is my impression.

Yes the GI took a Biopsy from my colon last Oactober, and it was fine. This is probably something that got worst over time. 

    The doctor called me today about last weeks CT Scan and told me that all the blood work and urine came back normal...BUT I  have multiple,enlarged  Lymph nodes in my Groin area, (she saw them at the last office visit,but CT scan showed it) and she saw a mass that looks like a narrowed Distal Illeum.  ( Probably whats causing all my abdominal pain.)

 She is going to set me up with the surgical unit..I am going in for a Biopsy next week. And maybe surgery to remove this illeum section. 

The radiologist said that he thought I may have Crohns too. 

I would do anything too stop this constant abdominal pain. I was given a precription for Miralax last week,but I'm going to wait until I find more out...I am no longer Constipated anymore.  Take care,    unhappycramper
