hi people,
I know it's been a while since i was last on here but i've really gone as far as i can go....
I'm a 19 year old female and I've had IBS for nearly 4 years now and the pain is no easier than when i was first diagnosed. The pain is literally unbearable, I writhe in agony almost every day. The pain is at it's worst early in the morning. It is usually on the right hand side in the lower part of my abdomen.
I have taken all kinds of medication i.e. Buscopan, Mebravine, Mintec, Peppermint oil capsuals, colphermin etc etc and none have these have relieved the symptoms.
I keep a food diary and am aware of some triggers; as below
Spicies
Fried foods
too many carbs
Dairy
The rest of my symptoms are;
Vomiting
Dizziness
Headaches
Nausea
severe pain
I lost my job today because I am unable to get out of bed most of the time...
I really don't know how much longer I can bear this....
I have been to my local A&E many times and seen my GP even more... they basically told me to live with the pain and just grin and bear it. I have seen a specialist before and have recently been referred again. It just seems to me that the medical profession does not take this seriously.....
I really need any advice that anyone has...
Please help
Lots of love
Stacey
