trying to figure it out

I have some questions for others out there.  I have not been on for awhile.  I had a colonoscopy two weeks ago that revealed an enlarged small bowel, my stomach full of bile, and the folds in my colon were inflamed.  The biopsies came back OK.  The doctor said he is leaning on Crohn’s for diagnosis.  Today, I had a small bowel series done.  It is a test that takes usually about two hours.  Within 20 minutes from drinking the barium, it had already went from my mouth all way to the end of my small intestine.  They could not believe it went that fast.  Then they took a picture and said it was done.  They said for me to wait for 10 minutes.  They came and got me and then the doctor came in and said we are going to take a few more pictures.  The doctor had this cone shaped machine that pressed hard against my colon and small intestine and took pictures.  I was a little confused.  Maybe this is normal for them to do.  I don’t know.  All I can tell you is that when that barium was going through me, I had pain and cramping pretty bad.  I could feel it going through every part.  When she told me that it had already reached the end of my small intestine, I told her that I believed it.  Any suggestions or comments is appreciated.  Thanks!

Hopefully they will find something to slow your colon down. There was a drug out on the market for severe D, but they pulled it because it can cause such severe constipation they didn't think even a regular doctor could prescribe it correctly. Only doctors with special permission are allowed to dispense it now. So, it can be very hard to get, but it sounds like you might warrant it.

first of all, if you not sure of what the dr. is doing during a test or you are not completely sure of what they are doing then be sure to ask them, it's their duty to keep you informed. I get frustrated with health professional that treat people like a piece of meat. Ok so Chrohns they think. Well on the plus side you might feel some solice in the fact that your condition is now diagnosed into a condition that can be seen. Because of this science is at the cutting edge of research into chrohns,
