hi mala,,I asked my dr. for liver function tests, since its doing more work,,,was shocked,,at the high numbers,,since they have always been ok,,,the nurse who called me said, she didnt think the questran did it,,,and she never heard of anyones numbers going up after gall bladder surgury , I asked if my liver was "learning to react to the GB not being there", she said perhaps, and said dr. thought it may be fatty liver, but since my pre op numbers were normal,,,I just have my doubts, stopped the questran,,just in case, although I read only 2 sites that mention it may cause abnormal liver funtion tests,,and I am now taking milk thistle,,will get retested in a mth...seeing my dr. in about 10 days,,all I can say,,is something happend with my GB being removed! I get bloodwork every yr. as part of my physical,,,when was the last time you had blood work,,and I love cats,,have 3!
