Hi Ryleigh- Just a note. Remeron is good for appetite. My MD puts his cancer patients on it and says it works like a charm. He offered it to me should my nausea become intolerable again. But often times it takes our bodies some time to adjust and having worked on a psychiatric unit for 5 years, I've seen this many times. I understand you are anxious about it, but you may really want to give this a chance to work. Sometimes, meds don't work but there is no need to suffer either if you don't have to. You mentioned therapy- have you had it before? You definitely want to try it. I recommend therapy for everyone! I go for a 'tune up' every six weeks or so. But many years ago, I went weekly. It worked for everything else but not my nausea. Something else you may want to consider is acupunture- it does cost money though. I paid $110 for my first visit and then she gave me a sliding scale payment of $60 a visit (not bad). I now go every 5 weeks. I LOVE IT. She treats many pt.'s with IBS as well as Chron's and UC. She treats people who have pain and anxiety, etc. As always, i have to suggest talking to your Doc about it. While it's natural and wonderful, it doesn't always work for people, like anything else. I was lucky, I got a good one. Good luck with your decisions.
