Has anyone here tried this medicine before? I have looked up all the info about it online and have read about the restriction of it for breast feeding women but since I don't fit in that category...lol I was given Reglan and could not take it due to several bad side effects including itching, severe anxiety. If you have taken Domperidone please share with me your experience good or bad. Going to ask my GI doctor about it tomorrow.

Yes, I take it and have no side effects. Actually I thought it was given to pregnant women to increase milk production sometimes at high dosage. It is not available in the US but has been available in every other country for years and in many you can buy it in any drug store without a prescription. When I talked to my Doctor about it he said it was fine to take it and safer than Reglan but he couldnt prescribe it and that it would never be approved FDA in this country cause there is no money in it. I find it works very well. I do have a little tenderness in the breast, I think. I take it before my lunch and dinner and it cuts down on the bloating and makes me more regular. My problem is remember to take it as I am really bad about taking meds.

That is great to hear. How can I get it here in US? Also may I ask what your diagnosis is? I am suspected of having gastroparesis and am having a gastric emptying scan done next week. Thanks so much for your response!

Got the gastric emptying scan results today and they show delayed gastric emptying. Which is pretty much what I had expected. Got an appointment with GI doc on Thur. I will get the exact numbers then. Been pretty sick today and very worried/depressed over this. I am sure it's gastroparesis now. I don't know where I go from here. Doctor does not seem to be very knowledegable or concerned about it cry I am pretty scared at this point.

It is nothing to be scared about. You can eat smaller meals and eat more often. Also eat things that are easier to digest. email me after you see your Doctor.
