Hi all, having my gallbladder out Tuesday- very scared but happy to finally know what is wrong. Had a hida scan showing that my gallbladder is functioning at 0%. Looks as though a stone may be in my cystic duct and my gallbladder is fine- doesn't look diseased or thickened. Has anyone had a stone in that position and had work done on the duct alone without having the gallbladder removed? I just don't want to have it removed on a whim, I have heard of so many people having problems afterwards. I see that so many IBS sufferers have had gallbladder removed. My doctor says lets remove gallbladder and see what happens, I only have my insurance until Jan 1st and I don't want to have to go back into surgery anyways, I have a two year old I have to care for. Thanks for any advice! Merry x-mas! -Hollie
