New here, from the UC group :-)

I am now trying to analyze myself as to what is going on. I have had UC since 1999/2000. My recent colonoscopy a few days ago showed scarring from past disease processes, NO current disease process is found. Which is great because my GI doctor before I switched to this recent one had me believing that I had pancolitis and what I have is some left sided scarring from past disease processes. SO, my current endeavor is to figure out just how much IBS/IBD is messing me up concerning symptoms I still experience such as; tnesmus, rectal irritation, anxiety incontinence?...Anyway, I also am now able to admit that I have some anxiety/ depression issues and I have seen my bowel issues affected greatly by stress and the like. Years back my first GI had me on Elavil -small dosage because he said that the side effects treat IBS...I need some meds for anx/dep anyway...what do you think I should do? Or does any of this sound familiar?
