Pain, dizziness after colonoscopy

I have not been diagnosed with IBS but I know there is something wrong.  I have frequent diarhea and abdominal pain for many years.  I had a colonoscopy 3 days ago and have been dizzy and have much abdominal pain since.  I used Nulytele before hand.  I called the Dr the day after because I thought I might faint and he said I might be getting a cold and had nothing to do with the test.  They removed one small polyp and Dr did not think I have ulcerative colitis so I am assuming it is IBS.  Has anyone else had dizziness and pain for days after a colonoscopy?  Is this normal?

No I have not experienced dizziness and pain for days after a colonoscopy. I'll do my part to keep your topic current so others can contribute.

It does take my body a few days to adjust to eating again, after the 1 day bowel prep, the day of the procedure and returning to light eating again. I probably do not feel my "normal" self for 2 days after a colonoscopy (I've had 10 of these procedures).

If it's been 72 hours and you still feel dizzy, you can rehydrate yourself by drinking Gatorade type drinks, or 7 Up or water. Make sure you consume 6 or 7 glasses per day. Also eat a healthy diet, fresh fruit, chicken noodle soup, turkey sandwiches, or for a full meal, salmon, roast chicken or turkey, fresh vegetables, salad, etc. See if by drinking a lot of replentishing type drinks (non alcoholic, non caffeine) and eating good, wholesome foods this will stop the dizziness and make you feel more normal.

Since this is a holiday and we're going into another weekend, by Monday if you feel still feel this way, definitely call your doctor.
