This is driving me nuts!!! Help!!!

about 2 weeks ago I experienced a level of my acid reflux which included vomiting that of which I've never encountered before every since then I've had severe,chronic constipation and when I get the urge to have a bowel movement it is followed by extreme naseousness to a point where I have to struggle not to throw up..also Ive lost about 12 pds in 2 weeks because the constipation and gas leave me so bloated Im horrified of eating a nice size meal so all i eat is soups,veggies and fruits and plenty of water..Ive been to the gastro doc and all of my test are negative..Are these symptoms of ibs?? Someone pls help..Its only been a couple of weeks and I feel like my whole life has changed!!

Have you had a transit marker test where you take a capsule with rings in it? I was told I had IBS for years and 2 years ago, I saw a colorectal doctor that ran all kinds of tests.

I swallowed the capsule with the markers in it and had xrays everyday for 5 days. The markers showed that I have colonic inertia, which is an extreme form of slow transit constipation. I do not have IBS. For some reason, my colon does not have good peristalosis to propel the stool down to the rectum.

This is a nightmare for me and I now have to take mega doses of miralax, use suppositories, and disimpact.

Have you tried taking miralax for the constipation?
