HI!

Could anyone be so kind as to inform me where/what pharmacy carries what pharmacy carries opium tincture? My Dr just prescribed this as a last effort to my SEVERE diarrhea of 1 1/2 yrs. I have no family support because everyone lives so far away/ If it wasn't for my 3 and 5 yr old babies it wouldn't matter I tried getting I from Rite aid but with along another pharnacy, they do not carry this. i am on my wits end n need Help.

Hello Swtlife,

Try to get a perscription for LOMOTIL it is a opiate and it has worked great for me when I had diahrea. Do you take any probiotics?

Renew Life Ultimate Flora Critical Care is a great probiotic and I take 2 a day on an empty stomach works great for diahrea. I buy it from the health food store in the refridgerator. You should notice a difference after a few days.

Do you take any metamucil?(Fibre) Metamucil helps to bulk up the stool. Don't take the sugar free one I think the sugar substitutes cause more problems especially diahrea.

I would call the doctor back and ask him where you can get it.

Most places should seem to carry Paregoric , the actual name for what is used for D.
