whats up everybody..i have always had an extremely hard time gaining weight due to two reasons...fast metabolism,and no appetite due to vhronic nausea. anyways,ive been powerlifting for 6 years and only until about 2 months ago was i gaining ANY WEIGHT. i bulked up by 25 pounds in those 2 months!!! snyways...i had my colonoscopy and upper endoscopy on august 13. i weighed myself after the prep but before th procedure,i dropped from 185 to 175(this was expected..plus i wasnt eating much due to prep)...anyway after the procedure i tried to gain it all back,and i dropped to 172.... also i got a cold after that and my weights been really going down even more/.im 169 now. seems like my metabolism has gone back to fast like it was before...is it in my ehad or can the upper endoscopy/colonoscopy effect my metabolism. i told them to only give me propofol..although they never showeed me the anestisthe records so they could have lied.

I can't personally think of a reason the tests would increase your metabolism. Have you asked your doctor about it?

What have they actually diagnosed you with?

test came back normal..except for biopsies
stomach antrum biopsy said i had mild chemical gastropathy,,,and terminal ileum biopsy said i had a limphoid aggrigate.
doc didnt seem bothered by this...and just gave the old clueless ibs diagnosis -_-.

Do you take medications?

Have you ever been tested for Helicobacter pylori?

The above two things are not related to IBS. IBS is a problem with the large colon basically.

not sure what chemical gastropaty or limphod aggragates really are. i dontt ake medications. i do have a pituitary tumor that ive not had any luck getting taken care of either.

This might mess with your metabolism, but you would have to ask a doctor about it.

What do you mean by that, there not treating it or they don't need too, I don't get it?

What are your IBS symptoms?
