Prep for colonoscopy not working?

Hi, I am having my first colonosocopy tomorrow at noon. I could not afford the MoviPrep so I took the generic version. Instead of 4 glasses tonight and 4 tomorrow with MoviPrep, I have to drink 8. Well I started at 5PM and I got 32 oz down with difficulty on the last glass. trying to get the last 32 oz. down and I am having a time of it. In the meantime, not going to the bathroom at all...... I have been on miralax for a week and going frequently, with prob not a lot  left to go.. I haven't eaten since yesterday at noon, but didnt have much at all.  I am worried that nothing is happening yet. No cramps, not really bloated, but a little gassy.  I am certainly not clearing out.

So I have 32 oz to go tonight and then 64 in the morning?  I don't want to mess up the procedure, I just wish I would start going All that liquid is a lot for me @105 lbs.

Any advice appreciated.

I am not sure what to tell you hear you might have to wait and see what happens after you have finnish the solutions. I know its tough but you gotta drink it. You will know when it starts to work though.

I hope it works out for you and goes well tomorrow.

Sometimes it can take a while for things to start moving. Have you gone yet? If you had been having lots of diarrhea in the days before, you might get cleared out before you have drank all of the prep. Yopu should try to get it down so the doctor will have a clear field to view.

I just started having a little activity a half hour ago, finally, but not much. The last week on the miralax I was going all time, soft but not diarrhea. So I was in a cleansing mode all week.

Okay, just went again, so I guess the games begin... now that I am ready to hit the hay... that figures.

While I am having trouble drinking this stuff, I am glad that I am at least not experiencing any cramps, or nausea. I bet this is because there isn't much in my stomach to begin wwith. Probably a good idea to not eat much in the days prior.

Well, I hope to go throughout the night, but in just a trip or two.... will update my status. Thanks

Well, I did start going, but even though there shouldn't be much in me, it hasn't turned clear yet. Called the dr office and they are checking on whether or not to proceed today. I really wanted to get this done,and hope it can still be accomplished.
