scary experience

So this is my first post on ibs forum...usually I'm on fibromyalgia..I didn't know where to post this. I had the weirdest and probably one of the scariest experiences today. I was having my usual bout of loose stool today after a few days of constipation. Well I got the really bad cramps and knew it was time to go...mid BM I got an excrutiating burning pain that kind of rolled up the back of my neck into my head causing such a pain I thought I was going to blackout and actually feared for my life. The headache is still lingering somewhat with some neck pain. Afterwards I called my grandmother and she said go to the er. I did so. (I wish you could have seen the look on their faces). I waited about six hours to see the doctor who's first question was "well did you get to finish..." (the BM) lol then he said it could have been straining although it was loose or a pulled muscle/spasm. He did do xrays of my neck and feel around on my upper back neck area and said it wasn't a stroke. I'm now terrified to have another BM I've literally been holding it and quite scared. Anyone heard of or experienced anything like this? Thanks in advance!
