Hello everyone! I have IBS and was symptom free for about 7 months and then went through some extreme anxiety in my life and the IBS came back. The first time I got through the IBS all natural, didn't take any drugs and was able to eat what I wanted as long as I avoided stress. But now my stress level is so high that the G.I. doctor put me on Miralax and Colace. Then my family doctor put me on Amitiza. I don't want to take these drugs because I have already proved that I can overcome this on my own. I have been taking Miralax for 4 days but the first day I mixed it with Magnesia Citrate because I was in so much discomfort and couldn't wait the 4 days with the Miralax, so now I'm not sure which drug is actually working for me, it if is the Citrate that are producing these BM or the Miralax. So for that purpose I would like to stop taking Miralax since its only been 4 days, my body shouldn't be used to it after 4 days. Do you recommend stopping now and trying to get through it naturally so I don't become dependent on anything. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can replace Miralax with? And smoothies or shakes that are high in fiber?
