Hi there, I feel for you, I'm living without my gallbladder, I had several severe heartburn attacks the year before my cancer was diagnosed. 15 years ago. One of my cancer pre-op tests was a cat scan which revealed hundreds of gall stones. So during my colon resection, my surgeon removed my GB via laparscopic surgery. While I've never been the same (bm wise) since my colon resection, complicating my lifestyle is my lack of a GB. I often experience yellow bile output in my stool. So now I'm on cholestyramine. It's helping - somewhat. Not my miracle cure but it's making a difference and giving my life a consistency I hadn't had for a long, long time.
Okay, so that's my history. I've also put on 15 pounds in the past 18 months and this additional weight is driving me crazy. I need new clothes. I've done a few searches on healthy diets and what to eliminate. Hot water and fresh lemon juice cleanses keeps coming up. For weight loss but also to reduce GB attacks. And to lower blood pressure (another nagging symptom I now have). I'm more than twice your age but if these hot water cleanses would help you, they are ultra simple to try - first thing before eating or drinking coffee, boil 1 cup of water per 1/2 fresh lemon, preferably organic. Roll the lemon back and forth to soften, cut in half, squeeze out as much as the juice in the water as you can, drop one half into the water and allow to steep for 5 minutes. Strain and drink. Save the other half for the next morning. If too hot, you can add an ice cube or two. Do this every morning apparently, it's a very healthy way for anyone to start their day. Have I done this everyday? No, I tend to slack off but summer is here now and I need to do this. Google "hot water and lemon cleanse", you see lots of info. This isn't your typical cleanse, you go about
your day eating 3 meals, etc. Good luck to you.
