Have you had an Ultra Sound done to check for gallstones? Also, were you very sick before you had your Hida Scan? (And I don't mean after the test, I mean before. ) Also, what is your diet like? For me, fatty and greasy foods, chocolate, oranges, grapefruit, salad, coffee, soda and cigarettes were guaranteed to trigger an attack so I had to quit all of it!
For 2 years I had excessive belching, bloating, chest pains in my right rib and imbetween my shoulder blades and back before during and after meals... it sent me to ER twice and to the Walk In Clinic a couple of times. I was misdiagnosed with GERD and put on Prilosec, but of course did not help at all. When I was referred to a GI for a colonoscopy and endoscopy, the GI said you don't have reflux, so quit takingt the Prilosec(after one week) Was also referred to cardiologist for a stress test, twice, and of course no problems there. Finally this past January, an Ultra Sound revealed sludge and polyps and Hida Scan ejection fraction of 10% so my gallbladder was removed Feb. 1st. I no longer have the chest pains and back pains but the excessive belching and bloating isn't entirely gone. I am still searching for an answer to the belching, I will let you know if I learn anything new. Best of luck to you, I hope you get some relief of your symptoms.
