Lilye,
Hello, I'm Serenitee, its nice to meet you. I am so sorry that you are having such a difficult time. I totally empathize with what you are going thru, as I have suffered from i.b.s./i.b.d. for 44-years & I am 46 now. It nearly destroyed me. I lived in the bathroom everyday sometimes up to 6-10 hours a day on a toilet. It ran my life. I have 7-kids & married, & I have missed so many of my kidz activites, graduations, weddings from this disease. From all the years of pushing it caused my colon to tear thru the vaginal wall and my colon & bladder fell out of my body. The a few months ago my intestines completely shut down & quit functioning & would not move anything thru my digestive system. In May of this year I had to have a ileostomy (temporary), and in September will have another surgery to make it permanent (removing intestines & rectum).
My husband always had such a strong digestive system never having problems, then he went to Iraq & came back wounded & with digestive & i.b.s. problems. He is in the bathroom everyday with diarrhea in/out of the bathroom the entire day. I feel so bad for him as there is just nothing I can do for him. And I understand that pain totally.
Are you taking any medications for the nausea, diarreah, or spastic colon (not sure if U suffer with spastic colon as well)? Do you see a gasterenterologist or colon/rectal surgeon? Do you ever go back and forth from diarreah to constipation, as this is one of the symptoms of i.b.s? Does any certain foods cause you more problems or less?
I wish you all the best and look forward to chatting with you some more.
