Questran - with no gallbladder surgery?

My IBS was under control, until I got a stomach virus. Now, I've been in D hell for 8 weeks. My doctor has prescribed Questran, but everything I read leads me to believe it's only for people who have had gallbladder surgery. I have my gallbladder. Has anyone with their gallbladder tried Questran?

Hi. I still have my gallbladder and I am on Questran for severe diarrhea. It does help, but I still get flares. I have other GI problems as well. My biggest issue is upper right quadrant pain and stabbing for which I take Tramadol and Bentyl. Anyway, I hope the Questran helps you. It tastes awful. I add a little apple juice in order to get it down. Irisart
