I have IBS with constant nausea and difficulty with my swallow when eating, sometimes it feels as though the food gets stuck in my throat and other times it works its way back up into my mouth while eating so its a struggle to keep it down.
I had an upper and lower endoscopy. During the attempted scope of my stomach they couldn't get the tube into my stomach well enough to do the proceedure as I was retching so much its like my whole throat and stomach went into spasm has anybody else experienced this with that test?
They then referred me for a swallow pressure test where a catheter was passed through my nose down to my stomach and I was asked to sip water as the tube was passed in. Within a few minutes it happened again, I vomited everything I was asked to drink and then violent retched for 10 minutes, they then removed it and tried again but decided they could not perform that test either.
Its days later and I still can't stop dry heaving. I was wondering if the constant nausea and heaving is something anyone else has experienced with either of these tests, is there anything I can do to lessen it, its so painful and the nausea is so much worse than usual I feel as though I've pulled all the muscles my upper body from retching so much, I don't know what to do
