Coeliac Disease often spelled Celiac is an inherited condition of intolerance to the substance, a protein from wheat and Rye and Barley to name the main 3 that contain Gluten. This can go on in some people for years without any knowledge that they have it. The symptoms of Gluten intolerance are something like this, like Irritable Bowel Syndrome many of the symptoms are the same.
That is why IBS is a sub class under Coeliac Disease. Stomach bloating, Nausea, diarrhea, often right after a meal that contains gluten. I put it to the test by eliminating gluten from my diet and this is because of my diarrhea once a day, once every 3 to 4 days a week whereas the other 4 days were normal stools. There had to be a reason why I sometimes had normal stools and no cramping and bloating and basic urgency to go to the bathroom. I started taking note. I created my own personal food diary and on a note pad I wrote the days of the week dated and daily entered if I had normal stools that day I put down OK for that day. On days I did have diarrhea even one time in 24 hours, I did look into my notebook spiral that listed all the foods and drinks I consumed in that 24 hour day to see if there was a direct correspondence to the diarrhea attacks. I found that after one meal that I thought was gluten free I had an urgent attack of diarrhea and thought something was wrong that I did not actually have Coeliac Disease. But upon further investigation after reading the ingredients of the Stir Fry Sauce that was added to my meal it contained wheat and hydrolyzed wheat
so then if you have by chance an allergy to gluten which is definitely in wheat then you can easily get diarrhea right after eating a meal with just a few tablespoons of the sauce containing it in your stir fry. Plus they say it takes several weeks of getting off gluten before you may be able to resume drinking milk and eating other dairy because during the phase of body rejection and stomach and digestive system problems due to gluten rejection in your digestive tract causing all the bad symptoms, you are also unable to absorb lactose. In some cases of IBS you may have both a gluten and lactose intolerance the rest of your life requiring avoidance of these substances forever or you may just have a gluten intolerance that temporarily makes your body unable to absorb lactose until the inflammation goes down over several weeks or a few months at best and you can slowly get back on foods and drink that are dairy and lactose intense until your body can adjust to that type of food into your mainstream diet.
IF you are starting off thinking you may have a gluten intolerance then you need to try avoiding gluten in breads wheat flour and rye and other breads plus it is known that gluten free is supposed to be marked on the packages of foods in the USA that specify either Lactose free and or glucose free and a few other substances the FDA mandates and if you are not sure read the ingredients list for the words gluten or wheat or flour. All of these indicated the presence of gluten. gluten can be found in thousands of every day prepared foods, spices, medicines sauces and often go undetected by millions of people in America just like you who may have undiagnosed Coeliac Disease also known as Celiac Disease. or just CD. According to Dr. Oz even people who do not have an intolerance to the protein gluten the area around the stomach where belly fat is stored is often a result of a diet rich in gluten that is more than the body can use and stores it as fat the hardest fat to remove from the body of most Americans due to the rich gluten abundant bread oriented diet. Whole grains in particular must be purchased that say gluten free. But know this, they are very dense breads and not light and fluffy like their gluten rich counterparts are. Good Luck and good day.
