Still have nausea two weeks post gallbladder surgery gallbladder surgery

I am very frustated because I am still experiencing some nausea after my gallbladder surgery---some days I feel like I am healing and then I get the nausea again----also some diahrrea but usually only once a day and a few days normal bowel movements----today was a bad day with nausea almost all day----started taking prilisec 5 days ago and maalox because I felt heartburn or reflux but no pain with it----I do still have pain in my left shoulder blade which radiates down into my ribs and into my shoulder---my surgeon doesn't think the two are connected since I have had the pains on and off for six years----have any of you still had nausea after the surgery? I truly eat no fat---basic foods---grilled chicken and fish, potatoes, rice, broccoli,carrots---The pathology report said my gallbladder was chronically inflammed so they say it was beneficial to take it out----I just get so scared that they are missing something----even after all the tests they put me through----I haven't had a colonoscopy in 6 years so I guess that is next---does IBS cause nausea? I see my gastro doctor tomorrow afternoon----

So sorry you are still experiencing pain & nausea. Nausea can really be difficult when it becomes chronic. Yes, i.b.s. can cause extreme nausea. I have had severe chronic i.b.s. for 43-years. I also passed it on to 3 of my 7-kids. I was wondering if you have tried "Phenergan" oral tabs? They help greatly for nausea, and it is in prescription form.

I had my loop ileostomy in May 2011, & I still get nauseated. Not sure why, but I still have i.b.s. I see my colon surgeon in Sept. to discuss about making my temp. ileostomy to permanent & removing rectum & large intestines + anything else that is needed.

Loop ileostomy, Pelvic & Bladder Trauma & Dysfunction, colon tore thru vaginal wall & then the colon & bladder fell out together out of my vagina leaving destruction in its process. Vaginal Vault Lift w/mesh, 2-bladder lifts w/mesh, 2-rectoceles...A total of 15-surgeries on various areas a lot being abdominal. Shoulder surgery March 2011 & need surgery on the other one.
