ITS KNOWN IBS USERS have constant IBS symptoms. But the IBS forms and symptoms vary by type, diet, other underlying health conditions, level of exercise, stresses on the body, medications, and stage it is in. To be honest, I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY DAY, where I HAVE NOT HAD A BOWEL MOVEMENT OR DIARRHEA and I WAS CURIOUS IF ANYBODY has ever went 1 single whole day without a IBS bowel movement or diarrhea OR IF ITS EVEN POSSIBLE.
IT SEEMS EVERYBODY WITH IBS IS REQUIRED to have a bowel movement every day and NO EXCEPTIONS??????

It depends. One day I might not have a BM and another day I might have 5 or 6 in a day, maybe even more. It is so unpredictable and there lies the problem with IBS for some of us. It is difficult to have a daily routine of any kind because our ibs/bowels usually dictates our lives continuously. God forbid if we go somewhere and we don't know exactly where the bathroom is "just in case"...it is always on my mind I will tell you that.

I am in the beginning stages of getting my tummy issues figured out. I'm in the same boat lately it seems one day I might have one or two then the next day I'm constantly running to the restroom. I have also been experiencing the explosive very loose D like BM. It's not fun and when I have a rough morning it makes me feel yuck the rest of the day. I had a descent day today only two but very loose and explosive. That's the only way to discribe it. So, tomorrow will probably be either constipated or going to the bathroom for the first two hours. I can wait to get my colonoscopy done. I go in a couple of weeks. I've been tracking everything for the doctor. Even though he didn't ask me too at least he can see how all over the map I am with this.

I've suffered with IBS symptoms & anxiety my whole adult life. I found Gluten Free diet in the last few years has helped tremendously & I have loads of energy, no constipation, pain, wind, mucus in stools (sorry grose I know) 20 years later I've been diagnosed with Helicobacter (why the Doctors didn't check for that when I first started getting chronic diarrhoea, cramps, weight loss etc I don't know).
My Dad's always had stomach problems, we thought it was a genetic bad stomach. He recently had a breath test & confirmed he had Helicobacter, people living together catch it off each other & I had a blood test to confirm I have it. I've had a course of antibiotics but don't feel they have worked as I don't feel any different. I feel a lot better from eating a gluten free (regular painless BM's, not anaemic etc) , low dairy diet and avoiding Vinegar & tomatoes have stopped the diarrhoea. I need to fast & do a breath test to see if it the bacteria is still present. But I recommend anyone who is having tummy troubles, constipation, diarrhoea, anaemia, infertility, miscarriage, anxiety, depression, low energy get tested for Helicobacter Pylori ASAP. Its bacterial & so easily contracted, I wouldn't be surprised if 50-80% of the population have it. Good luck!
